  • Delivery Hero, an online food delivery platform, raises $1.1B in IPO at the offer price of €25.50. The stock gained 8.6% at the end of first day’s trading on Frankfurt stock exchange. Link
  • Blue Apron, a meal kit delivery startup, raises $300M in IPO at the offer price of $10. The stock plunged more than 17% after the first week’s trading. Link
  • DayTwo, a personalized nutrition app that provides food recommendation based on microbiome analysis, raises $12M in Series A led by Johnson & Johnson Innovation. Link
  • Plum, an automatic wine pouring and preservation appliance, raises $9M in Series A round led by Khosla Ventures. Link
  • Koia, a plant-based smoothie brand and manufacturer, raises $7.5M in Seed round led by KarpReilly and AccelFoods. Link

  • Eatigo, an online platform to make table reservation at restaurants, acquires Ressy, an India-based restaurant deal discovery platform. Link
  • English Tea Shop, a brand and processor of tea leaves, acquires the competitor Joe’stea Co. Link
  • Amazon, a global consumer e-commerce company, starts meal kit delivery service through Amazon Fresh. Link  
  • Deliveroo, an online food delivery marketplace, partners with Tripadvisor, a travel review and metasearch platform, enabling the users to order food from Tripadvisor’s platform in 12 countries. Link 
  • VBites, a plant-based food substitute manufacturer partners with Domino’s in Israel to provide its vegan cheese. Link
  • Zomato, a global restaurant discovery platform, reports 81% y-o-y increase in revenue and 34% y-o-y decrease in total loss in FY’17 as per the annual report of Info Edge, the company’s largest shareholder. Link
